The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) announced
in February 2003 that it was organising a desert race for self-navigating
robotic vehicles.
A Navtech Millimeter Wave Radar has been used on the Red Team's
vehicle two years running to pick up obstructions even when the
dust or glare blinded the other sensors. Red

port of Bristol.
The Navtech N100-AC is designed to measure, with high sensitivity,

NEW
NAME AND NEW PREMISES FOR NAVTECH RADAR: May 2006
Navtech has changed its name from Navtech
Electronics to Navtech Radar.
The
change of name also coincides with a move to larger premises at
Ardington, Wantage, Oxfordshire. The new facility boasts a dedicated
outdoor radar development, test and demonstration area, which has
the capacity to display the radar's full 800-metre radius detection

such as CCTV, infrared and point-to-point microwave all experience
limitations in outdoor sensing applications since they are affected

BAA To Install
Radar Automatic Surveillance System at Heathrow Airport, May
2007 - Navtech Radar has won a strategically important contract
for its W800 Automatic Surveillance system with the largest UK airports
operator, BAA plc. The system will be installed at Heathrow Airport
where it will provide continuous automatic surveillance of areas
within the airport's perimeter.
