DIRECTORS
Philip Avery
Philip Avery is a co-founder of Navtech and an experienced electronic
design engineer. He initially gained experience with millimetre
wave radar whilst working on the FRAIT Development Project. This
was the first commercial autonomous guided vehicle to use millimetre
wave radar as the primary navigation sensor. Since then he has been
involved in the development of several millimetre wave radar systems
and various other autonomous vehicle projects. His skills include
sensor technology, system design and high-speed digital and analogue
electronic engineering.
Dr. Stephen
Clark
Stephen
Clark co-founded Navtech in 1999 and has ten years experience working
on millimetre wave radar and signal processing. In 1998, at Sydney
University, Australia, he completed his Ph.D. in autonomous land
vehicle navigation using millimetre wave radar. He has developed
signal processing and data fusion software for several different
projects, based on the millimetre wave radar sensors that Navtech
produce. His skills include digital signal processing, embedded
systems, real time operating systems and radar algorithm development.
Andrew Rosenthal
Andrew Rosenthal worked with Philip Avery on the FRAIT Development Project in the early 1990’s and has been involved with Navtech as a non-executive since its inception in 1999. He joined the company full time as Commercial Director on 1 January 2006, following a career in aerospace and defence.
